FAQs & Testimonials

‘I’d like to thank you for organising everything else for our function yesterday. Everything went really well and we had an amazing afternoon. The client was so happy and even said we spoilt them, so great job for us. You were very helpful during the process and it was a pleasure doing business with you. Hopefully we can repeat that a million times. Everything was great. Food, chef, the facility…It was just wonderful.’ – Camila

‘I attended the French Cooking Class at the South Melbourne Market last night and have to say that it was the best value for money I have had in a long time. To be greeted with a place setting each and sitting back to watch Emma prepare four courses of fine French cuisine and serve us was an unexpected and delightful surprise. Well done South Melbourne Market…keep up the great work and thanks, I’ll be back.’ – Leanne

‘Would like to thank you and the South Melbourne Market along with the LG Kitchen for holding Megan’s hens on Saturday night. It was a brilliant event and my sister has not stopped boasting about it to everyone. A special thank you to Emma and Sue who ran the night as smoothly as possible. We were highly entertained and fed until our belly’s could hold no more…Overall a wonderful night and I will be highly recommending it to anyone looking to have an entertaining yet classy girls night out’. – Leonie

What do I need to bring?

Participants are not required to bring anything to the class.

How many people are in the class?

Our classes take a maximum of 12 participants.

What is the class format?

In our Master Classes and Cooking Classes, the 12 participants are seated around a large dining table with the chef demonstrating at the kitchen workbench placed at the end.  In this intimate environment, the chef will take you in detail through the preparation of each of the recipes, breaking down the essential techniques and teaching you about the ingredients used and where to source them. All the food created is served to the participants so you can understand, and discuss with the chef, how the techniques and ingredients have contributed to the elements of the final dish. Our Market2Table classes are a part demonstration, part hands-on format.

Do I get to eat the food?

All food that is made in the class is served for the participants to enjoy whilst the chef continues the demonstration.

What if I have dietary requirements?

Unfortunately we cannot cater to dietary requirements however our chefs are happy to discuss if recipes can be made with an alternative ingredient.

Can I send someone else in my place?

You can send someone else in your place if you cannot attend.

What if I can no longer attend the class?

When will the new class schedule be up?
