    Baharat, berbere, zatar and sumac are just some of the spices create used to create the exciting flavours of African and Middle Eastern cuisines. Emma’s authentic recipes feature: grilled chermoula marinated prawns with tomato salad; Moroccan spiced lentil, lamb, tomato and herb hariri ramadan soup; Ethiopian berbere goat stew served with messir wat, a spinach-lentil dhal and pita bread; besboosa, a delicious coconut and semolina sweet cake drenched in syrup; and aromatic baharat spiced poached quinces and pears.
