    Dumpling Essentials in 3 Masterclasses

    Understanding the basic techniques, skills and cooking styles required to become a successful Dumpling maker in your Kitchen starts with this 3 session series, offered exclusively at South Melbourne Market.

    This hands-on beginner’s class is the perfect introduction to making Chinese dumplings. You will learn how to make dumpling fillings and then, using pre-made wrappers it’s your turn to master different shapes and cooking styles.  Prepare aromatic Chinese 5 spice beef wontons served in soup stock with fresh vegetables; steamed open top pork, prawn and shiitake mushroom Siu Mai; and deep fried money bags, filled with turkey, corn, water chestnuts seasoned with a dash of fish sauce.  Enjoy the delicious results with flavourful dipping sauces and fresh Asian slaw.

    This session is the first in a series. If you would like to expand you dumpling making skills book into  Session 2: Dumpling Mania on Sunday 21 May and our advanced class, Session 3: Yum Cha Mania on Sunday 28th May.
