Understanding the basic techniques, skills and cooking styles required to become a successful Dumpling maker in your Kitchen starts with this 3 session series, offered exclusively at South Melbourne Market.
If you have mastered how to fill ready-made wonton dumpling wrappers, this hands-on session will extend your knowledge further. You will prepare the translucent dough from scratch, practice making various dumpling shapes and prepare the classic prawn (har gow) dumpling; an Asian-style vegetarian dumpling; and a ginger- infused fish dumpling topped with caviar. Enjoy the delicious results with flavourful dipping sauces and a seasonal salad.
This session is part of a series and is an intermediate dumpling making class. While not essential, it is recommended that attendees undertake Wonton Mania: an Introduction on Sunday 14 May. You can also extend your dumpling making skills further in our advanced class Yum Cha Mania on Sunday 28th May.
