Understanding the basic techniques, skills and cooking styles required to become a successful Dumpling maker in your Kitchen starts with this 3 session series, offered exclusively at South Melbourne Market.
In this hands-on session, you will prepare a special steamed selection of classic yum cha favourites. Recipes include savoury daikon cake with lop cheng, shiitake and spring onion; lotus leaf stuffed with sticky rice, crispy skin pork, shiitake, baby shrimp and chicken; and finally ginger pork and prawn dumplings, deep fried then steamed with a topping of ginger sauce and spring onions. Enjoy the delicious results with flavourful dipping sauces.
This session is part of a series and is an advanced dumpling making class. While not essential, it is recommended that attendees undertake Wonton Mania: an Introduction on Sunday 14 May or Dumpling Mania on Sunday 21 May.
