Hagen’s Organics is proud to introduce their new monthly “Meet the Producer” events, part of their efforts to better educate their customers about where their food is coming from, how it is produced and the people who dedicate their lives to producing their food.
The first event is with their pork producers McIvor Farm who will be onsite talking about their farm and farming methods on Saturday 20 May from 10am to 3pm.
Drop by, say hi, and learn more about how their pork is produced.
Free Butcher Class:
As part of the event there will be a free butchers class at 2pm (spaces limited).
They’ll show you how they butcher a side of Berkshire pork, demonstrating knife skills and how to handle the meat. They invite you to take notes and ask all of your meaty questions. Students will receive a pork cuts diagram, information about the pork and producers, a complementary Hagen’s cooler bag and a cut of Berkshire pork to take home.
Their Berkshire pork is produced on the wide open paddocks in Tooborac about an hour out of Melbourne. These are higher welfare animals who have been raised by producers who have dedicated their lives to animal husbandry and ethical farming.
