The Oyster Bar by Aptus Seafood is the newest addition to the Aptus family. Boasting a range of delicious options including marinated salmon with firecracker sauce, hiramasa kingfish with orange ponzu and a daily selection of sustainable oysters, this boisterous little stall located in West Aisle is a must do for any visitor to the Market.
Owners, Angelo Zahos and brother-in-law Petros Petrakos, are often found at the centre of it all, serving as hosts and sommeliers. This dynamic duo lives by the mantra “the pleasure of the sea on your plate.” Maki, the in-house Japanese chef, is in charge of crafting the Aptus Seafood menu for both the Oyster Bar and the Seafood Grill. He has extensive experience and passion for Japanese fusion cuisine.
The sustainable shellfish, which they proudly shuck on-site, offers super-fresh oysters harvested from local waters and can be purchased by the dozen or in bags.
