Takeaway Treats at Home

There’s nothing like tucking into takeaway at the end of a long week – but for those who like to unwind by cooking, why not have a go at making your favourite takeaway at home? That way, you’ll not only appreciate the effort that goes into your weekly treat, but there are health benefits too as you can control portion size and ingredients. Find the freshest produce in person during your Market visits or make use of our Order & Collect service. Some traders offer Home Delivery too, so there are plenty of ways to shop with your favourite stalls.

For many families, Friday means fish and chips. This recipe uses flake, but you can use other fish too as long as it is firm and suitable for deep frying. Visit South Melbourne Seafoods, Aptus Seafood or The Fish Shoppe to find out what kind of fish will work – or ask them to recommend something suitable for grilling if you’re after a healthier option.
