The Night Market is over for another year, and we’d like to thank all our visitors, stallholders, artists, suppliers and crew for a great event. The weather certainly served up some challenges on the second night of the season, but the balmy evenings on the other dates meant that plenty of people were able to enjoy themselves, both outdoors and inside the Market.

Some highlights:
The live music lineup on Cecil Street had plenty of toes tapping! Acts included performances from bands such as The Fix Ups, Snowy Band and Timbakat, with live DJ sets from Fee B-Squared, DJ Slymewave and Memphis LK.
The Cecil Street bar, run by Jetty Road Brewery, served up drinks to go with the tunes.
Roving performers The Jazz Jokers brought the tunes indoors for shoppers to enjoy.
Members of the crowd judged a sausage cook-off by our Market butchers (it was a close contest, but Kirkpatrick’s Meats took home the gold trophy!).
Food trucks offered plenty of choices for those who wanted to savour the alfresco atmosphere, with our regular traders catering for visitors inside the Market.
Stalls on Coventry Street and regular traders inside the Market were open for late night retail therapy!
Outside, Artspace fostered kids’ creativity with a painting area.
Chinese lions danced around the whole Market blessing traders and visitors to welcome in the Year of the Rat.
The Sydney Swans Street Team celebrated their South Melbourne roots, with mascot Cyggy giving away prizes to very happy fans.
But as fun as all the food, entertainment and shopping was, for many people the highlight was just hanging out, creating summer memories with friends and family!
