Mussel & Jazz Festival Food Vendors

The Food

Known for its delectable seafood, the event will feature some of Melbourne’s favourites serving up irresistible mussel and seafood dishes. If seafood isn't your preference, fear not! The festival offers a diverse array of food offerings, and the Market will be open as usual from 8am to 4pm, allowing you to savour a variety of culinary delights, from French pastries and bargain boreks to German street food and burrata sangas. Come with an appetite, leave with a satisfied palate!

Claypots Evening Star
As co-founders of the Port Phillip Mussel & Jazz Festival, Claypots Evening Star will be serving up festival flavours in a large pop-up, offering a selection of three signature mussel dishes, alongside the institution that is their dine-in restaurant on the corner of Cecil Street and York Street. Dairy Free, Nut Free.

Smithburg
Smithburg is bringing bold flavours to the festival with their Lobster Roll & Margarita Shack. Choose from four delicious varieties of lobster rolls, perfectly paired with four refreshing margaritas - it's a match made in foodie heaven!

As well as their dine in restaurant, Claypots Evening Star will also have a dedicated pop-up offering a selection of mussel dishes!

Mike's Mussels
The ever-popular Mike’s Mussels will return to the festival this year serving up fresh and delicious Portarlington mussels served four ways from around the world, Thai style, Italian, Japanese and au naturale with lemon. GF, Dairy Free, Nut Free.

Inkredible Calamari
Inkredible Calamari use locally sourced calamari cooked with Nonna's secret recipe to create their iconic salt and pepper calamari cones.

Squid & Things
Squid & Things will be returning to the festival for a second year to offer their hugely popular squid on a stick, served crispy fried or grilled. They will also be serving delicious seafood ball skewers. Dairy Free, Nut Free.

Smithburg will be dishing up their delicious lobster rolls alongside their margaritas.

Mr. Baller Meatball Subs 
If you're after something a little meatier, Mr. Baller Meatball Subs is for you! Devour wagyu beef meatballs covered in Nonna's famous tomato sugo, garlic aioli, secret salsa verde and buffalo mozzarella finished with grated parmigiano Reggiano. V, VG.

Colombiontojos
Colombiontojos will be bringing the authentic flavours and vibrant culture of Colombia to you with a scrumptious selection of its most popular dishes: lechona, arepas, empanadas and the most famous Colombian barrel BBQ. GF, Dairy Free, V, Nut Free.

 

 

Dig into some locally sourced calamari from Inkredible Calamari.

3099 Jerky
If you've had your seafood fix then head to 3099 Jerky and sink your teeth into some Australian Premium Jerky, made using only the best and minimal ingredients and 100% Australian grass-fed beef. Dairy Free, Nut Free.

Twista Bros
Fresh, hot, secret-battered potato twists. Always a crowd favourite, choose from flavours like salt and vinegar, chicken and spicy chilli to name a few. GF, V, VG, Dairy Free, Nut Free.

If you're not a "seafoodie" Mr Baller has you sorted with their delicious meatball subs.

Billy Van Creamy

Billy Van Creamy will be stocked with a variety of flavours made using real, whole and natural ingredients, offering ice cream, cups, cones of delicious dairy ice cream, vegan ice cream and dairy free and vegan sorbet. GF, Dairy Free, VG, V, Nut Free.

Fairy Floss Kingdom
Satisfy your sweet tooth and savour the fluffy delicious goodness of freshly spun fairy floss.

Popular Billy Van Creamy will be returning to the festival catering to ice cream addicts of all ages!

Swirle
A tantalising fusion of nature's sweetness and decadent indulgence! Savour the flavour of Swirle's decadent dessert strawberries, dipped in rich chocolate and finished off with your choice of topping! GF, V, Halal.

Juicello
Wash it all down with refreshing natural juice from Juicello that's sure to invigorate your senses and elevate your wellbeing. GF, Dairy Free, V, VG, Nut Free.

Freshly spun fairy floss from Fairy Floss Kingdom - a treat that both kids and adults love! 

As well as our specialist festival food vendors, you will also be spoilt for choice with our Cecil Street restaurant precinct, which will remain open for the duration of the festival.

Claypots Evening Star will be open for the duration and will event be running their own program of musicians.

Smithburg. will be serving up market fresh burgers, salads, chips and sides along with their lobster rolls and margaritas, a marriage made in heaven, from their dedicated lobster shack.

Simply Spanish will delight with tapas and fine wine or try more substantial Spanish dishes like their award-winning paella with homemade sangria.

Bambu Asian Eating House brings the flavours and atmosphere of Asia's street markets to Cecil Street.

Little Hof will be offering their sizzling German sausages, deli sandwiches and pretzels fresh out of the oven. Enjoy while sipping on a cold Bavarian Bier.

South Melbourne Market Dim Sims will be serving up their famous parcels of meaty goodness, steamed or deep-fried and doused in soy or chilli sauce during Market hours.

Clement Coffee if you're needing a pick me up, Clement Coffee will be there to provide you with your coffee fix so you can dance into the night. 

Inside the Market, Aptus Seafood Grill and UGO Burrata Bar will be getting in on the action with a selection of mussel focused offerings.
