Caroline Khelaifia started Maison Otto in 2006, driven by her passion to bring unique and quality European labels to Australia. Hailing from France, Caroline not only has the rich experience of over 25 years in the fashion industry, as a stylist, fashion buyer and in product development, but also holds a natural instinct developed from cutting and playing with fabrics, colours and designs as a child. Born and raised in a fashion-driven family in France designing and styling since 1920’s, launching a business in fashion was always on the cards.

After 28 years in Australia and travelling the world in search of quality products, Caroline has a deep knowledge when it comes to fashion, styling and homewares.

Her collection has been carefully curated, with a focus on ethical sourcing and production, high quality materials and products that are artisanal, handcrafted and thoughtfully designed. She works directly with the makers and creators, and nurtures these relationships to support and promote their work.

Caroline opened Maison Otto at South Melbourne Market in December 2023, with the stall aiming to combine the effortless Australian lifestyle with distinctive French influences to bring timeless trends to the Market customer.

The stall boasts an incredible range of French-made jewellery and accessories, including an exclusive collection by Parisian jeweller, Julie Sion. The neo-baroque style earrings and rings are all handmade with high quality materials in Julie Sion's studio in Paris. The meticulous detail of her creations has recently caught the eye of both YSL and Chanel, who have commissioned her work!

Find body creams, candles, soaps and fragrances by Panier des Sens, an ethical and vegan skincare brand that uses 100% naturally sourced ingredients. Chateau de Versailles candles set up the perfect ambience for a dinner party and have the ability to uplift the mood of everyone in the room, emit positive vibes and deliver an elegant and memorable experience.

Steeped in French tradition, these brands are the perfect gifts for those who value high quality French savoir-faire.

Maison Otto is also the exclusive Australian distributor for N'GO Shoes, the French-designed eco-sneaker. N'GO are a B-Corp certified brand, specialising in leather sneakers for men and women.
